1) Start with the board by measuring its short side. 12’inches would be ideal. Mark the down side with 12” using a pencil. Using a ruler or any straight edge, draw a line from the pencil mark up to the opposing end. This mark should be a triangle.
2) Now proceed to the opposite end of the board to make some half inch strips of wood. Measure 3/4”off the board’s short side and place a mark, and then make another mark down again the other side of the board. Using any straight edge draw a line from these marks. This should leave a half inch line that is parallel to the short side of the board. Repeat this procedure until you have two more of these strips. These two strips need to be about 3 inches shorter than the board’s length.
3) Now step back and look at the board for your corner shelving. If you’re satisfied with it then cut out the pieces using a table saw.
4) After making these cuts you should have a triangle and thin strips of wood. Now head to a place where you can install your corner shelving. Try to think of an idea of how high these corner shelve will be. Using nails and a hammer nail all the strips to the wall and keep the smoothest face side facing towards you. Set the triangle that was cut earlier on top of the two thin strips and nail the top of the thin strips. The result should give you a mounted and sturdy corner shelving appearance.
5) Use a paintable caulk and caulk the seams where the shelves meet the wall and you’re done.
