How to Build Your Own Shoe Shelves

1) To build a shoe shelves you need to lay down two side boards on the floor first. Using a ruler make a horizontal mark straight across the width of the board 2 inches from its crown. Next subsequently make another line 6 inches from the first line and another final line 6 inches from the second line. These lines will serve as marks where the shelves will be hammered.

2) Flip one side of the board straight up and ask someone to hold a shelf board at the first marked line, with its width coinciding with the width of the side board.

3) Next use a 2 inch nail from one of the board’s end width of the side board.

4) Hammer the nails into its places and make sure it punctures through. Hammer the second nail 2 inches long from the side board down to its other side.

5) Now position the other side board to its free end lining its two ends up with its marked measurement.

6) Hammer a nail into place using a 2 inch nail from the side board’s end.

7) Repeat steps 3-5 for the remaining shelf boards until all boards have been joined together. At this point, all three of these shelves should be hammered to the two side boards on different end.

8) You can now paint or stain your shoe shelves.

Shoe shelves are very useful in managing space. Stackable and interlocking, shoe shelves can be used anywhere from beds to closet, wardrobes to living room. Not only does it let it show see your shoes in a glance, but using them is very simple.
