The Goth culture has always been a confusing topic, especially for conventional people. When you say Goth culture, the first thing that would come to mind is the way they dress. Goths almost always wear black from head to toe. They have black nail polish and they have really dark black eyeliner. Another thing that Goths would usually wear would be gothic corsets which are a reflection of how Goths really like the elaborate details of the Victorian era and the Elizabethan era. However, some Goths would wear only one item at a time and not head to toe of these items.

Because of the way Goths dress, people often look at them like rebels of the society. The norm would say that they are weird. A lot of people are even scared of Goths because they are referred to as people who are practicing witch craft and exorcism. Because of the black eyeliner and the way they wear cloak-like clothing and gothic corsets, some people also think that Goths have vampire tendencies. There are really tons of misconceptions about Goths. However, one should never judge anyone based on their physical appearance. The clothes that a person wear does not necessarily reflect the way he or she is emotionally or even psychologically.

Everyone should just respect the way Goths dress because that does not really translate to their way of being. Goths are unique not weird. They are different but each one has a different take on expression of one’s self.
