The weight of salmon fishes in this area differs in terms of variety. On the other hand, the usual weight of a salmon fish in the part of Alaska ranges between 25 to 90 pounds.
When planning on Alaska salmon fishing, you can also go to Sitka where you can find tremendous fishing opportunities. On the other hand, the number of fishes that you can catch per day has a limit. This is to prevent salmon fishes from being extinct in this particular part of Alaska. Say, if you go on fishing on a particular day, you cannot exceed on salmon fish and three salmon fishes for the whole year. Other fish species also have limitations when it comes to fishing them. Say, if you catch a Coho, you cannot exceed six Cohos on a particular. However, unlike in salmon fishes, no limitations are imposed in terms of annual catch for Cohos.
