San Diego Tourist Attractions

I have traveled all over the United States and one of my favorite travel destinations in the country is most definitely San Diego. It is such a fun, lively and tropical city and you won’t get bored as there are so many great things to do and wonderful places to visit.

I have compiled a list of things to do in this Southern Californian city. Be sure to visit some of the San Diego Attractions listed down below.

Zoo

One of the most famous zoos in the world is the San Diego Zoo. It first opened its doors to the public in 1916 and is located on 100 acres. There are close to seven thousand different types exotic plants and nearly seven thousand different reptiles, mammals and birds. Be sure to take your kids along as they will certainly love a visit to this magnificent attraction. Opening hours are Monday through Sunday from 09:00 until 16:00.

SeaWorld Adventure Park

One of the most popular attractions in town is most certainly the SeaWorld Adventure Park. Visitors can enjoy a variety of different experiences and shows which include for example the Shamu Show, the Wild Artic Interaction and the Journey to Atlantis Water Coaster.

USS Midway Museum

This is a special and rather unique aircraft carrier museum which is in fact located on the USS Midway which is a historic aircraft carrier. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour, flight simulators and a variety of special exhibitions. It is located right in the center of town along North Harbor Drive. It is open daily to the public from 10:00 until 17:00.

Old Town

Another rather interesting and interesting destination in San Diego is the Old Town. The first mission was built in the Old Town over two hundred years ago by father Serra. It is nice to walk around this area of the city as there are plenty of little great restaurants, art galleries, shops and various entertainment venues. Be sure to take a tour on the special Old Town Trolley Cars.

Spanish Village Art Center

If you enjoy art then perhaps you should head down to the Spanish Village Art Center which was build in 1935. You will find a lot of local artists at the Spanish Village Art Center including painters, photographers and jewelers. It is open to the general public daily from 11:00 until 16:00.

Thank you for your post. The Spanish Village, indeed, is a great place to visit in San Diego, with great Art and crafts. On our Fox Rent A Car Blog, we try as well to inform people on what attractions to find in different cities and give off the beaten path advice too.
    Thanks again for sharing.
